2023, 31 October – New computer simulations in GT-power has been completed by FEV Sverige AB and the results are very good.
- a fourstroke petrol (SI) engine show 10.1% lower Brake Specific Fuel Consumption (BSFC) and 16.4% more Brake Power (BP) @ 3.5 bar absolute boost.
- a fourstroke diesel (CI) engine show 8.2% lower Brake Specific Fuel Consumption (BSFC) and 19.2% more Brake Power (BP) @ 5.5 bar absolute boost.
- a twostroke diesel (CI) engine show 24.8% lower Brake Specific Fuel Consumption (BSFC) and 95.8% more Brake Power (BP) @ 5.5 bar absolute boost.
Available for download are presentation in PDF and PowerPoint formats, plus ZIP-file with the GT Power files needed to verify results for each engine model.
Other fuels like Bio-gas, LNG, CNG, HVO, Hydrogen can be tested in future computer simulations.
